Being a parent on holiday may not be as relaxing as a vacation once was before children. Gone are the days of lounging on a sunbed, drinking cocktails, reading a whole book, and taking daytime naps in the sunshine and warmth. While you may get to do some of those things because heaven knows a cocktail can get you through, vacations are far from restful. So how can you make the most of looking and feeling your best on vacation? It is all in preparation. I wanted to share with you some of the things that you could do.

Take More Exercise
Being more active and taking exercise can be a great way to look and feel your best, so you may want to take some time to focus on this area. Not all of us have the time to go to a gym each day though, so it could be as simple as playing a game with our children, going out for a nice walk, or having some fun at the local park. Focus on raising your heart rate and feel the difference it can make.
Dress for Your Figure
Your body has done emanating things, so don’t be afraid of embracing your figure. If you have curves, flaunt them. If you have a bigger chest, embrace it. There are some great swimming wear options out there to cover all body shapes and sizes, so you are bound to find something that works for you. Follow the same principle for other things such as dresses and tops.
Take Some Time Out for You
It is important that you do manage to get some time out to yourself, to enjoy that cocktail or read that book. Discuss this with your partner ahead of time. Have an hour to yourself each day where you will take over the parental responsibility of playing with children in the pool or being the one who keeps an eye on them.
Embrace the Chaos
Finally, you need to take the time to embrace the chaos that ensues you now that you are a mother. It is fun, chaotic, life-changing, and amazing, and it can often be the happiness that gives you the perfect glow and energy that resonates with others.
